CURRICULUM FOR COSMETOLOGY COURSE (1,600 HOURS CLOCK HOURS)
The curriculum for students enrolled in a cosmetologist course shall consist of sixteen hundred (1,600) clock hours of technical Instruction and practical operations covering all practices constituting the art of cosmetology pursuant to Section 1316 of the Barbering and Cosmetology Act.
Technical instruction means instruction given by demonstration, lecture, classroom participation or examination. Practical operation shall mean actual performance by the student of a complete service on another person or mannequin. Please note 505 hours are devoted to clinic/theory experience which shall include all phases of cosmetology.

COSMETOLOGY CROSSOVER COURSE FOR BARBERS (400 CLOCK HOURS)
The curriculum for students enrolled in a cosmetologist course for barbers shall consist of four hundred (400) clock hours of technical instruction and practical operations covering those cosmological practice that are not a part of the required training or practice of a barber. Please note 223 hours are devoted to clinic/theory experience which shall include all phases of cosmetology. For the purpose of this section, technical instruction means instruction by demonstration, lecture, classroom participation, or examination. Practical Operations means the actual performance by the student of complete services on another person or a mannequin.
